Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a relatively common disease. Symptoms often include depression, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Although common, its causes are not often clear, and similarly, treatments range in their effectiveness. Cannabis has been shown to relieve symptoms, and research has shown that patients have successfully
used cannabis to relieve these symptoms. Several strains have been shown to treat certain symptoms. For depression, Blue Dream and Pennywise. Then, for diarrhea, Jean Guy and Lemon Jack. For abdominal pain, Jack Herer and Harlequin have been shown to be beneficial. With any medical condition, individuals should consult their physician. This section will outline how marijuana use may apply to this condition.
